Chasing Rainbows – New album by Baby Woodrose

Baby Woodrose has just finished the recording of their new album CHASING RAINBOWS due out in October. The album is recorded at Black Tornado in Copenhagen during the spring/summer and is a sort of return to the production ethics of Blows Your Mind (meaning totally DIY, lots of tape machines and crappy vintage gear, no plug-ins and no fiddling with the tracks in Amateur Tools). Lorenzo Woodrose explains:

- "It's obvious that we've got a lot more technical experience now. CHASING RAINBOWS is the sound of a band with much more musical guts, clearly inspired by the Dragontears project we did last year. The sound is very fresh and different compared to other things we've done, pretty poppy and commercial, but it's also the most experimental and druggy thing we've done at the same time".

There is definitely a new feel to the Baby Woodrose sound which is also underlined by the use of instruments like cello, lap-steel, flute and tablas. The lyrics mostly deal with feeling misplaced, longing for love and searching for truth and light as a way out of the darkness.

 - "There is life and soul in this shit - my life, my soul, my shit!", says Lorenzo Woodrose.

CHASING RAINBOWS will be released October 22nd on Bad Afro Records. Baby Woodrose then returns to the label which released their early albums like Blows Your Mind, Money For Soul, Dropout!, the live album "Live At Gutter Island" and various singles.

The 11 songs chosen for the album have the following titles:

Chasing Rainbows - Someone To Love - No More Darkness - Lilith - Renegade Soul - Dark Twin - Let Yourself Go - Twilight Princess - Gonna Make You Mine - Madness Of Your Making - In Your Life.

Great tour start!

March 25th '06

The spring-tour got off to a flying start - including a few bruises...
Last night Train in Århus was a real killer - in more than one way. Although Baby Woodrose main-man Lorenzo was kicked out by Train's bouncers pretty much immediately after the show (Lorenzo suffered a minor frost-bite and the bouncers got the finger) - it was actually a real good night. Lorenzo and the rest of the guys are now on their way to Køge for tonight's show at Bygningen (whose muscle-men hopefully prove to be less muscle and more men) and all is good in the BW camp. A real big shout-out to Silkeborg's koolest rockers DEATH TO FRANK ZIYANAK (did we spell it right...?) for making last night a "killer"...
We hope to see you tonight in Køge!
